Main tasks
The Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine and Immunology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf is seeking a dedicated and motivated Technical Assistant to join our team as soon as possible.
Our research group investigates the role of immune cells in tissue regeneration, infections, and inflammation. We focus in particular on the development of the immune system in human organs and how immune cells contribute to tissue development. We are also interested in understanding how dysregulation of these processes can increase susceptibility to infections and autoimmune diseases. Our department is part of the III. Department of Medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, which is involved in a wide range of internationally leading research programs in the field of immune-mediated diseases.
As a member of our team, you will collaborate with physicians, scientists, and students who are jointly working to better understand the mechanisms behind tissue regeneration, infections, and immune-mediated diseases - and to develop new therapeutic approaches. Our aim is to identify pathways that can be targeted to specifically promote the regeneration of tissues in the gut and other organs, such as the liver and kidneys.
If you are interested in a varied role within an interdisciplinary research environment and enjoy working in a motivated team, we look forward to receiving your application.
Main tasks:

Without this professional experience, a classification in EG 9a will be made).
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Interest in scientific research questions
  • German language skills desirable (B2 level)
  • Solid knowledge in biochemistry, ideally also in biology and basic immunology, as well as experience in cell culture and flow cytometry
