Service Engineer - Diesel Generator - Riding Team Costa - onboard
Your Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 4 to 6 members
- Plan and allocate workload among team members to ensure timely completion
- Provide guidance and oversee the work results of subordinates
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of Diesel Generator units
- Calculate and schedule the necessary scope of work and materials
Inventory and Requisition:
- Conduct inventory checks and assist in requisitions for spare parts, consumables, tools, and equipment
Communication and Reporting:
- Ensure effective onboard and onshore communication regarding task fulfillment
- Report and document completed services to onboard superiors, Senior Manager Riding Team and DG Superintendent ashore
Safety and Workflow:
- Enforce HESS regulations, including fire safety, within the assigned workplace and among supervised personnel.
- Emphasize cleanliness and smooth workflow during both operation and downtime.
Your Profile
Education: Bachelor, Master or degreed Engineer of technical engineering or equivalent
Licenses and certificates: All the relevant STCW certificates for onboard personnel
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sea service as watch engineer, thereof 12 months in a management level position (2nd Engineer or higher) or higher experience in (industrial) repair and maintenance works with Diesel Generator Engine.
Skills: Proven experience in managing maintenance teams. Strong knowledge of Diesel Generator units. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualities: Team player, high degree of service and result orientation, as well as readiness to travel.
Ability to demonstrate and apply skills under pressure. Openness and willingness to share knowledge with colleagues and able to provide comprehensible and comprehensive instructions and training.
Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for effectively interacting with colleagues onboard and in the office.
