Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/w/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer (m / f / d) at the Hamburg location as soon as possible.

Your tasks

• Design and development of hardware-related software in C for innovative, microcontroller-based products
• Documentation and versioning of the software, code review
• Execution of software tests as well as integration and commissioning of the software on the hardware
• Ensuring that requirements are met in terms of functionality, performance, quality and timing
• Error analysis and documentation as well as subsequent adaptation and optimization of the software

Your profile

• Study of computer science, electrical engineering (with a suitable focus) or comparable practical knowledge
• Sound knowledge and experience in programming in C in Cortex-M microcontroller environments (e.g. STM32, Nordic Semi nRF52)
• In-depth knowledge of secure software engineering and secure coding
• Well-founded theoretical knowledge in concurrent programming and practical experience with real-time operating systems (e.g. FreeRTOS) on microcontrollers
• Solid knowledge of mathematical (especially statistics, geometry) and IT modeling methods and algorithms
• Several years of experience in software development with open source toolchains (gcc / clang, binutils, make etc.)
• Several years of experience in distributed source code management and change / version management with git, especially complex branching models and patch management
• Practical experience in embedded communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, Bluetooth, etc.) as well as Internet protocols
• Experience in real-time processing of noisy sensor data

Further pluses

• Experience in safety-critical systems and functional safety and the relevant standards
• Experience in design and implementation of network algorithms and protocols (especially distributed protocols in a mesh environment)
