Postdocs at beamline P21.2 and the DESY NanoLab for a project on lightweight materials

PhD in materials science, engineering science, physics, chemistry or equivalent qualification
Experience with characterization of materials with high energy synchrotron radiation and/or scanning microscopy and/or surface sensitive x-ray diffraction methods
Knowledge of the corrosion of metals and /or their mechanical properties
Practice in conducting experiments at synchrotron radiation sources and/or scanning probe microscopy techniques
Interest to work in applied and industry relevant science
Programming skills, e.g. Python & experience to analyse large data sets
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and excellent knowledge of English
Excellent communication skills and ability to summarize and present project results to the scientific as well as the industrial community
