Video Producer (M/F/D)
As a Video Producer, you will work closely with our marketing team, as well as with sales and product, to create impactful and educational video content. Your focus will be to produce and co-create a variety of formats - from product explainers and tutorials to interviews, webinars and short editorial content - that help bring our ideas to life and connect with our customers, prospects and the North Data community. This is a new project with plenty of room to contribute your ideas and shape the outcome. We offer a creative environment where you can take ownership and grow with us.

YOUR TASKS
FILMING AND SHOOTING
- Shoot internal formats (product explainers, webinars, tutorials, team portraits, interviews, investigations, analysis, fun formats)
- Film our talks at conferences
- Make people feel comfortable on camera (yes, even the introverted ones )
EDITING & POST PRODUCTION
- Edit various formats (long-form, 60-sec capsules, teasers, and more)
- Add your visual touch: transitions, titles, subtitles, motion where it matters
- Optimize videos for our channels: website, Youtube, LinkedIn, mailing, and more.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
- Co-create original formats with the marketing team
- Work with us on visual tone, pacing, moods
- Challenge our ideas (gently), and suggest better ones
ABOUT YOU
- Confident shooting and editing, with full autonomy
- A strong visual sense - mood, rhythm, pacing, identity
- Ability to turn abstract ideas into engaging, concrete formats
- Good taste, without taking things too seriously (no Wes Anderson complex required )
- Content that’s both clear and full of personality
- A background in film, media, or design - or skills learned hands-on, through doing
- Comfortable working in English and/or German, both spoken and written
- Speaking other languages is a plus - we’re an international team
- Ideally based in Hamburg or nearby - happy to meet us in the office once a week, and flexible to join us on location for shoots, events, or fairs

Working Student Customer Service (M/F/D)
As a Working Student in Customer Service, you will support our Customer Service Specialist in daily tasks and get valuable insights into how we interact with our clients and prospects. You will help us respond to customer needs, manage our digital inbox, and ensure smooth communication with other teams. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in customer communication, process improvement, and working in a fast-growing data-driven company.
YOUR TASKS
- Support in prioritizing and categorizing incoming customer requests.
- Assist in managing the digital inbox: drafting replies, forwarding requests to other teams, and following up on solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quick and effective resolution of customer issues
- Contribute to improved communication and efficiency, e.g., by drafting standard texts or updating workflows.
- Handle incoming physical (postal) mail
YOUR PROFILE
- Education: You are enrolled as a student (preferably in business, communication, or a related field)
- Language skills: Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
- Team and problem-solving skills: You enjoy working with people and solving problems in a pragmatic way
- Work style: You are structured, reliable, and proactive manner and are interested in learning about customer communication and data-driven products
- Availability: You are available for at least 16 hours per week, ideally in the afternoon sand are willing to work from our Hamburg office on Wednesdays (depending on your university schedule)
Modern Java Developer (M/F/D)
Our software is modern and powerful, and it is the "heart" of North Data. It is written in "Modern Java", that is, using current Java technology with a clean code base and an emphasis on functional style. Our environment is Github and Google Cloud. We're very pragmatic in our development approach - no scrum or daily standups - and try to use best development practices as much as possible.
Ideally, you love to explore problems yourself. For example, if we encounter a new country data source, there is no one here to write a specification for you!
We're looking for both senior and junior level developers.
OUR TECH STACK
We are writing our backend code in modern Java (JDK 21). On the frontend, we are using Typescript, Semantic UI, and d3.js. Our production environment runs on the Google Cloud Platform, using Firestore and ElasticSearch as databases, and many external services, including Machine Learning and LLMs. For development, we are using everything in Github (including Github Actions for CI/CD). Our philosophy is to be always up-to-date and innovative, keep technical debt low, and to automate as much as possible while keeping things simple.
YOUR TASKS
- You will be responsible for one or more new countries and its relevant data sources.
- You will continuously add to our test cases, keep the code base clean and legacy-free, and generally improve it.
- You will add new features, unlock new data sources, and solve new technical and business problems.
YOUR PROFILE
- You are proficient in software development based on "best practices", such as unit testing and pull request reviews, but no Scrum, no Kanban, no stand-ups.
- You can easily produce modern and clean code with an emphasis on functional style.
- You are pragmatic and a hands-on problem solver, happy to work self-sufficiently as an individual contributor as well as in a small team.
- You value transparency and contributing to making our economy and our society more transparent.
