Junior Energy Manager (f/m/d)

Your Responsibilities:

The Junior Energy Manager supports the operational energy performance of the Costa fleet. This includes collaborating with onboard teams, analyzing ship performance data, managing dashboards and KPIs, and contributing to energy efficiency initiatives. The role also involves identifying innovative technologies and tools that improve fuel and energy use, with a focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

  • Responsible to develop and maintain operational excellence and efficient operation as primary contact for energy related topics. Maintain regular communication with onboard teams to support performance monitoring, issue resolution and best practice sharing, develop and manage fleet wide energy performance dashboards and KPIs
  • Responsible for Data Analysis and Reporting. Analyze ship performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Support Energy Projects and initiatives, drive the implementation and operational follow-up of selected energy efficiency initiatives and support handovers of energy initiatives to execution team, ensuring clear scope and deliverables
  • Support Innovation and Technology Scouting, identify and evaluate innovative technologies, systems and digital tools that improve fuel and energy performance
  • Support and drive other tasks in the Energy Management area, in the Decarbonisation area and across the business as needed to develop the business goals

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering and / or energy technology and/ or naval architecture or any related field. Master’s degree is a plus
  • One year of professional experience in the areas of Ship operation ashore and/or on-board Cruise ship technology
  • Knowledge of Data analytics and Power BI, Principles of Thermodynamics, HVAC and onboard machinery solutions are highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Very good command of the English language (English is our company’s official language)
  • German and/ or Italian are a plus
  • Willingness to travel for work-related assignments
