Sysmex is a global leader in haematology diagnostics and services and a specialist in haemostasis, urinalysis, and laboratory automation. In addition to our fields of activity, reagents complement the Sysmex portfolio. The reagents for the Sysmex analysers are manufactured in our own production plant in Neumünster, Germany.

This role is the business leader for our core product line, haematology

Director, Head of Business Line Haematology (f/m/x)

Your responsibilities

  • Use your laboratory diagnostics experience to develop and execute the EMEA regional marketing strategy covering all the Sysmex haematology solutions for the appropriate customer segments across the EMEA region and support the creation of country and distributor marketing tactics. Including high-level strategic activities to be implemented in a defined timeline and the related budget in strong collaboration with the marketing team and local sales leadership
  • Oversee the technology platform management and product portfolio development, considering classical marketing, product lifecycle management and application support
  • Optimise and ensure a future-fit marketing structure, including the marketing management and product management teams, to enable the promotion and selling ofhaematology solutions
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with key laboratory diagnostic stakeholders.
  • Deliver marketing and sales tools to achieve short and long-term goals for instrument and haematology solution sales, using clinical, efficiency and productivity vision presentations, webinars, KOL videos and content, market development events, white papers, and key publication summaries with the support of the medical affairs & market access team
  • Exploring ways to secure market entrance, grow market share (of course, also keeping track of the market share, competitor activities and planning appropriate counter strategies where needed) and use your knowledge to exceed best industry standards. Finding ways to implement leading haematology laboratory diagnostic best practice messaging, drive solution expansion, and license/application/parameter adoption
  • Enable individuals and teams within your leadership to grow through coaching and development plans for future leaders and stronger marketing and product management teams, as well as individual contributors
  • Establish budget goals for the business line in the EMEA territory, designing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve these goals
  • Manage, support, initiate and monitor global and local supplier partnership agreements aligned with management targets and strategies

Your profile

  • 8+ years of Clinical/Product marketing experience in a medical device company or 10+ years of experience in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Strong (including virtual) leadership skills and experience (global, European or regional) as well as the ability to collaborate and cooperate across the organisation and functions
  • IVD or medical device sales or marketing experience, preferably in laboratory diagnostics
  • Proven ability to effectively position and product messages and develop strong sales support to drive desired adoption
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies and marketing programs to drive growth
  • Proven ability to work with many areas of management, including strategy development,engagement programs, market research, segmentation, competitive dynamics, and crisis management in a highly complex and dynamic environment
  • Language (spoken and written): English, additional EU languages/Japanese knowledge would be a plus
  • Superior verbal/written communication, teamwork, and interpersonal work across multiple constituents
  • A keen ability to lead a team, manage projects, define & monitor budgets, organise, prioritise and cope with multiple tasks
  • Extensive networking skills and an established network in EMEA
  • Excellent communication skills with distinct ability to negotiate, engage and influence
  • Collaborative approach to work appropriately with other business lines, cross functional teams, our global headquarters, affiliate countries & our 3rd party complementary product suppliers
