Tasks

• Erheben und Aufbereiten von Daten aus verschiedenen internen Quellen (z. B. Datenbanken, APIs, Trackingsysteme) für Analyse- und Modellierungszwecke
• Durchführung von explorativen und inferenzstatistischen Datenanalysen zur Identifizierung von Trends und zur Entscheidungsunterstützung
• Anwendung statistischer Verfahren, Machine-Learning-Methoden und regelbasierter Ansätze zur Lösung realer Geschäftsprobleme
• Unterstützung der Produkt- und Business-Teams bei der Konzeption und Analyse von A/B-Tests zur Bewertung der Auswirkungen von Features und zur Ergebnisoptimierung
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Stakeholdern aus Produktmanagement, Technik und Business zur Problemdefinition, Ergebnispräsentation und Erzielung messbarer Wirkung
• Übernahme der Verantwortung für projektbezogene Analysen oder Modellierungen, aktive Mitwirkung an internen Peer-Reviews, Validierungsprozessen und dem teaminternen Wissensaustausch

Profile

• Abgeschlossenes Bachelor- oder Masterstudium in Data Science, Informatik, Statistik oder einem verwandten Studiengang
• Mindestens 3 Jahre praktische Erfahrung in angewandten Data-Science-Rollen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Business-Stakeholdern
• Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Beschaffung und Aufbereitung von Daten aus verschiedenen internen Quellen (z. B. Geschäftsanwendungen, Benutzerinteraktionsprotokolle und zentralen Systemdatenbanken)
• Fundierte Erfahrung in der Anwendung von Machine Learning, statistischer Analyse, explorativen Analysetechniken, Visualisierungen und Methoden der kausalen Inferenz zur Lösung geschäftlicher Fragestellungen.
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Python und SQL sowie im Umgang mit gängigen Data-Science-Bibliotheken und -Tools wie pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, SHAP, statsmodels, Jupyter Notebooks u. a.
• Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Konzeption, Durchführung und Analyse von A/B-Tests in Zusammenarbeit mit Produkt- oder Business-Teams
• Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, um Erkenntnisse, Methoden und Abwägungen verständlich an technische und nicht-technische Zielgruppen zu vermitteln
• Hervorragende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift; Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

Profile

• A bachelor's or master's degree in data science, computer Science, statistics, or a closely related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in applied data science roles, working closely with business stakeholders
• Proven experience acquiring and preparing data from various internal sources (e.g., business applications, user interaction logs, and core platform databases)
• Solid experience applying machine learning, statistical analysis, exploratory techniques, visualizations, and methods for causal inference to solve business problems
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, and strong working knowledge of common data science libraries and tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, SHAP, statsmodels and Jupyter notebooks, etc.
• Proven experience designing, conducting, and analysing A/B tests in collaboration with product or business teams
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey insights, methods, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of German is a plus
• Nice to have: Experience with GitHub CI/CD pipelines, the AWS stack (e.g., Redshift, ECS), large language models (LLMs), building ETL workflows, or using orchestration tools like Airflow
